Abstract

Cyber threats are growing in scale and complexity, creating a major challenge for organizations trying to protect their networks and data.[1] Artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming an important tool to help security teams keep up with this environment. From malware detection to insider threat detection, artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms can transform cybersecurity operations. However, the use of AI also creates risks that organizations must understand and mitigate. This article provides an overview of the current and future role of AI in cybersecurity, both as an invaluable technology and as a technology that requires careful monitoring.
