Abstract

This article analyzes the multifaceted problems faced by women in government positions in Uzbekistan. The study reveals a paradox between the impressive success of systemic legislative measures and the persistent sociocultural barriers, the main one being the uneven distribution of unpaid domestic work. The analysis systematizes the obstacles and evaluates the effectiveness of mechanisms for overcoming them.
