The article presents the conditions for the spread of the Hessian fly, an
analysis of weather and climatic conditions was carried out to determine the conditions
for overwintering and the spread of the Hessian fly in the spring-summer period, an
analysis of data on the degree of population of wheat crops was carried out, The authors
carried out phytosanitary monitoring on spring wheat crops, and also developed a
scientifically based methodology for predicting the spread of Hessian fly on wheat crops
in the Kostanay region for the period from 2003 to 2023.
